An aberrant obturator artery is found in approximately 25% of individuals. The location of the aberrant obturator artery (right side reconstruction) is shown in this 3-D animation. The artery most commonly arises from the inferior epigastric, skirts the upper end of the femoral canal, then crosses the pectineal ligament to reach the obturator canal.
