The surgeon, on the patient’s right, operates through the epigastric and anterior axillary line ports, while the assistant, on the patient’s left holds the camera and retracts through the posterior axillary line port.

A 4x8 sponge was placed through the 12mm anterior axillary line port and tucked behind the superior pole of the spleen to depress the spleen for easier access to the ligaments.
