A 42-year-old man presented with a two month history of an enlarging mass over the spine of the right scapula. The MRI showed a well circumscribed mass straddling the scapular spine.

Fine needle aspiration revealed spindle cells and subsequent incisional biopsy was read desmoid tumor.

The biopsy site was included in a 3 cm skin margin. The mass was excised down to bone, including a surrounding margin of normal muscle.
