The aorta was reconstructed with a bifurcated knitted polyester graft. The distal anastamoses were technically challenging as bites had to be taken through a rigid stented iliac inbetween the nitinol scaffolding. Once completed, however, both were hemostatic and unobstructed.

The explanted endograft is shown. The AneuRx endograft is a modular bifurcated device for endovascular aneurysm repair. Each module is composed of a thin-walled woven polyester graft that is joined to a self-expanding nickel-titanium (Nitinol) exoskeleton by numerous individual polyester sutures.
