The antrum and first portion of the duodenum were mobilized off the pancreas and the gastroduodenal and right gastric arteries were identified. The right gastric artery was divided.

The blood supply to the antrum comes from the right gastric off the hepatic and from the right gastroepiploic off the gastroduodenal.

The duodenum was divided with a linear stapler four centimeters distal to the pylorus. The gastrohepatic omentum was divided close to the liver and included with the specimen.
