The peripancreatic lymph node groups include Cattell’s node at the intersection of common bile duct and duodenum, Starzle’s node at the takeoff of the gastroduodenal artery, and superior and inferior posterior pancreaticoduodenal nodes posterior to the head of the pancreas.

The hepatobiliary nodes include hilar and pericholedochal nodes. Lymphatic drainage continues along the course of the hepatic artery back to the celiac nodes. The deeper aortocaval nodes may be secondarily involved.
