A 72-year-old woman had an abdominal CT scan because of trauma from a motor vehicle accident. There was no intraabdominal injury found, but a lesion of the body of the pancreas was noted.

The lesion is highlighted. The patient had no symptoms referable to the lesion. Transgastric endoscopic biopsy revealed adenocarcinoma.

The patient was taken to the operating room for possible resection. Laparoscopic exploration revealed a cluster of small peritoneal lesions in the left upper quadrant.
