A patient who presented with a retroperitoneal germ cell tumor (see retroperitoneal germ cell tumor) was treated with radical orchiectomy (see radical orchiectomy) and underwent four cycles of BEP (bleomycin, etoposide, platinum) chemotherapy over a three month period. The retroperitoneal mass had shrunk to 40% of its initial size and the alphafetoprotein was down to 16.
