A 62-year-old woman was worked up with a CT scan for left upper quadrant abdominal pain. The CT scan showed a mass in the hilum of the spleen.

The mass is highlighted. On the second hospital day she experienced sudden increased pain in the left upper quadrant and the CT showed probable hemorrhage (red) into the tumor.
