MIBG (I-123 metaiodobenzylfuanidine) adrenal medullary scintigraphy showed concentration of radiotracer in the right adrenal gland correlating with the CT-detected adrenal tumor. There was no uptake in other tissues suggesting metastasis. The patient was treated with four weeks of phenoxybenzamine (alpha blockade) and a beta blocker and achieved a stable blood pressure of 110’s/70’s.

The patient was taken to the operating room for laparoscopic right adrenalectomy. The patient was placed in left lateral decubitus position with table flexion and kidney rest elevation in the lumbar region.
