The greater curvature of the stomach is supplied by the gastroepiploic arcade and the short gastric (gastrosplenic) vessels (see lower GI bleed). The left gastroepiploic artery is a branch of the splenic artery. The short gastrics also originate from the splenic artery branches in the hilum of the spleen.
