A 68-year-old man presented with severe aortic stenosis. The aortic valve cross-sectional area was .79 cm ( < 1 cm is considered significant stenosis). The patient also had a dual chamber (RA/RV) pacemaker in place for sick sinus syndrome. Ultrasound done in the workup of the aortic stenosis revealed thrombus on the pacemaker wires.
