The bronchovascular pedicle of the right upper lobe is shown. The truncus anterior branch of the pulmonary artery divides early beneath the superior vena cava and supplies the anterior and superior segments. Three quarters of individuals have a posterior ascending branch (sometimes two) supplying the posterior segment. The superior pulmonary vein drains both the upper and middle lobes.
