A 42-year-old man being worked up for tinnitus was noted to have a 2 cm mobile painless mass in the tail of the right parotid gland. Facial nerve (VII) function was intact.
Several fine needle aspirations (FNA's) showed only fibrofatty tissue and were inconclusive. A CT-guided FNA yielded a diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma.
