A D V E R T I S E M E N T
The anatomy of the field at the completion of the left radical neck dissection is shown. A right modified radical neck dissection was then performed, removing the carotid sheath with the internal jugular chain of nodes and leaving the sternocleidomastoid intact. Large closed suction drains were placed and the platysma and skin were closed in layers.
