A 39-year-old man presented with a two week history of bilateral flank pain. His medical history was otherwise unremarkable. There were no physical findings. Microhematuria was the only laboratory abnormality. Small right and left upper quadrant calcifications were noted on flat plate.

An IVP was obtained which showed normal function, but downward displacement of the left kidney with flattening of the upper pole.
