Pectoralis Major Tendon Rupture: 1

While doing bench presses, a 42-year-old man experienced a sudden tearing pain at the site of a prior (10 years) left pectoralis major tendon repair. He presented with pain and decreased left pectoral strength. He was taken to the operating room for revision of the tendon repair.

The pectoralis major inserts (hatched area) onto the lateral lip of the bicipital groove of the humerus.
