A 51-year-old woman presented with a three month history of progressive shortness of breath, fatigue and chronic cough.

Trans-esophageal echo revealed a large (5.5X6.7 cm) mass in the left atrium which appeared attached to the atrial septum. Ventricular function was normal, but pulmonary artery pressures were elevated.

CT showed a large hypodense defect filling an enlarged left atrium. The pulmonary arteries were enlarged. The CT and ultrasound findings were suspicious for a left atrial myxoma.
