An 18-year-old man presented with left subclavian vein occlusion and left subclavian artery compression on provocative maneuvers.

Chest X-ray shows bilateral abnormal first ribs fused to the mid-body of the second ribs. There was cartilaginous continuity of the first rib attaching it to the manubrium (dashed lines).
