The brachial fascia was opened over the ulnar nerve. The fibrous leash between triceps fascia and medial intermuscular septum (arcade of Struthers) is a potential point of compression on the nerve after it passes through the septum.

The fascial bridge (Osborne's fascia) of the cubital tunnel between medial epicondyle and olecranon was opened over the nerve.

The muscular branch to the medial head of the flexor carpi ulnaris is shown. This was mobilized 4cm into the muscle to preserve it and allow mobility of the ulnar nerve.
