A 25-year-old woman was screened after her son was diagnosed with type I neurofibromatosis. Head MRI scan revealed a cystic left frontal lobe lesion with a mural tumor typical of an astrocytoma associated with neurofibromatosis. Although the lesion was stable on successive MRI scans, the patient desired excision.
