An easy way to remember both sensory (blue labels) and motor (red labels) neurologic levels is to think of the arm as representing the cervical cord, the trunk the thoracic cord (sensory), the anterior aspect of the leg representing the lumbar cord and the posterior aspect of the leg the sacral levels.
