The AV fistula was created with interrupted sutures of 7-0 polypropylene. All sutures were placed, then tied sequentially.

The AV fistula is highlighted, showing the direction of blood flow. The supplemental inflow at the femoral orifice of the graft helps ensure an adequate flow rate to prevent clotting of the conduit.

There was an arterial thrill in the fistula, and good Doppler signals in the fistula, graft and iliac.
