A 26-year-old woman had a three-year history of shortness of breath and sharp, non-radiating chest pain. A murmur was discovered during pregnancy and follow up CT scan revealed ascending and descending aortic aneurysms. The aortic root was markedly dilated but the arch in the region of the great vessels was spared. There was severe aortic insufficiency. The patient was tall and thin, with a Marfanoid appearance.
