An iliopubic tract bite is shown. This stitch included a small bite of inguinal ligament (shelving edge). Care was taken to keep the lateral bites very superficial over the femoral vessels.

The running suture was tied at the pubic tubercle. The last bite was taken securely in the fascia over pubic tubercle since most hernia recurrences are medial.
